이제 하루에 한 강의씩 올리는 성의를 보이겠습니다.

 

 

시제

 

 

1. 시간표현

 

(1) 현재

 

- 일반적 사실(특히 과학적 진술)을 표현할 때 쓰입니다.

  The human brain respond to sudden fright

- 규칙적 습관을 표현할 때 쓰입니다.

  I usually get up at 6 o'clock

- 현재를 나타내는 표현(today/these days/nowadays)과 함께 쓰일 때 쓰입니다.

  He is considered one of the greatest poets in Korea today

 

 

(2) 과거

 

- 일반적으로 특정 과거 기간의 표현과 함께 쓰입니다.

  In 1992, the president failed to make peace with North

 

 

(3) 미래

 

- 미래의 '~일 것이다'일 때는 will을 주로 씁니다.

  The greenhouse effect will threaten millions of lives in the near future

 

 

(4) 완료 - 현재 완료

 

- Since+과거시점//recently//ever//for years 등의 표현과 함께 쓰입니다.

  My country has recently constructed large-scale wind farms in some provinces.

** NEWS를 주는 상황에서 American English에서는 현재완료를 주로 과거로 표현한다.

I lost my luggage (AE) // I have lost

- 과거이전에 일어난 상황을 '완료'적인 성격으로 보여줄 때 쓰입니다.

  I had never seen any of Picasso's paintings before I visited the gallery in London

 

 

(5) 진행

 

- 진행형은 '완료'되지 않은 '진행'(progressive)자체를 묘사 할 때 쓰입니다.

 

- 계속 진행 (ongoing)의 의미

  My country has recently been constructing large-scale wind farms in some provinces

** My country has recently constructed large-scale wind farms in some provinces.

(완료 (complete)의 의미)

- 일시적인 (temporary) 의미

  The professor had been felling some pain in his elbow for many years, so he finally underwent surgery a few hours ago.

** 부사 'currently'는 현재진행형 시제와 주로 쓰입니다.

  the nation is currently facing a crisis

** 모든 동사들이 진행형 시제를 쓸 수 있는것은 아닙니다.

  I am needing to talk with my supervisor(x)

 

 

 

2. 시제 일치

 

- 시제일치란 한 문장에 있는 모든 동사를 같은 시제로 쓰는 것이 아니라, 같은 시점에 일어난 동작에만 적용하는 것이다.

  David Suzuki is a Canadian biologist who has devoted his life to bringing about an increase in awareness of nature.

** might/could/would 등은 각각 may/can/will의 과거 표현이므로, 시제 일치시에 주의 해야한다.

the weather forecast said that it might rain.

the weather forecast said the next day would be fine.

 

 

 

                                                                                                                                

 

 

오늘로서 9강 시제까지 동사만들기의 주요 강의가 끝났습니다.

갈 수 록 날로 먹은 느낌이지만 다 서형구선생님의 강의 교안대로 정리한 것이니

절대로 부실한 내용이라고는 생각하지 않습니다.

이강의 까지 정신차리고 모든 것을 이해했다면 동사의 EXPERT쯤은 아닐까요?

저는 다 이해못했기 때문에.. 여러번 봐야겠습니다..

정신좀 차리고 이제 명사와 형용사 공부준비를 해야겠습니다.
